A faithful reproduction of a fragment of French paper ephemera, pressed into a stamp.
The Fragment stamp carries the character of old administrative paper: a rectangular tag with typeset lines for item descriptions, a count field marked "PIÈCES", and a small landscape vignette in the corner. In the YOHAKU approach, found antique fragments become reusable stamps, preserving the character of the original. At 50 × 30mm, the impression is generous enough for the French-text detail to read clearly on good paper.

About Yohaku ヨハク
Japan-based artist/ stationery designer YOHAKU ヨハク (Kaori Watanabe) designs uniquely modern, poetic and minimalistic paper products, masking tapes and stamps. Inspired by the natural landscape of her hometown in Hokkaido, her designs often bring calmness with an understated elegance that would bring a slice of mindfulness to your scrapbook, journals or gift wraps.
