About Miki Tamura
Born in 1988 and based in Osaka, Miki Tamura (田村美紀) is a celebrated artist who pioneered the intricate technique of masking tape collage (マスキングテープちぎり絵). Since 2010, she has transformed the humble roll of tape into a medium for fine art, meticulously tearing and layering adhesive strips to create "painted" scenes with soft, impressionistic textures. Her unique, hand-crafted style has led to high-profile collaborations with stationery giants like King Jim and KOKUYO. Tamura’s work captures the gentle warmth of daily life and seasonal nature, offering fans a tactile, analog beauty that elevates simple paper goods into miniature works of art.
