Eric small things is an eraser artist/ illustrator from Japan, well-known for creating motifs using rubber stamps as media, recreating the exciting reminiscence of seeing all the small things when opening your desktop drawer. Currently active in running solo exhibitions, and workshops, collaborating with various brands across the country.

This wax stamp is the latest collaboration with Sanby, an ink/ stamp manufacturer in Japan since 1921.

About eric small things

Eriko Matsubara (松原衣里子), known as Eric Small Things, is a Japanese illustrator and rubber stamp artist. She began creating hand-carved stamps in 2017 as a self-taught maker. Her work is known for intricate, nostalgic motifs inspired by stationery, especially the small everyday objects found in desk drawers and cozy interiors. Through her stamps and paper goods, she captures a sense of analog warmth and careful craftsmanship. Alongside her own stationery collections, she also collaborates with a range of stationery brands.
