mizutama

Kasumi Tanabe (田辺 香純), also widely-know as mizutama,  is a superstar Japanese illustrator and rubber stamp artist, known for her simple, warm, and comforting style. Based in Yonezawa, Yamagata, she began creating hand-carved rubber stamps in 2005 and quickly gained a following for her distinctive, charming designs. In 2012, she expanded into illustration, bringing her work into a wider range of stationery and everyday goods.

A dedicated stationery enthusiast herself, mizutama often shares creative ideas and techniques in journaling, and regularly collaborates with major brands. Her illustrations feature recurring motifs such as a signature little girl character, pandas, and sweet treats, all drawn with clean lines and rich colors, often using Copic markers. Beyond product collaborations, she has published instructional books and hosts workshops and live sessions, continuing to inspire a wide community of stationery lovers.
